Welcome to Nätverket SIP!

Nätverket SIP (The SIP Network in English), is a network of six Swedish national Non Governmental Organizations (NGO:s) for youngsters: the project organization Projektor, the national NGO:s Grrl Tech, Booster riksförbund and ungradio, as well as the education Samhällsentreprenörer, and our joint non-profit cooperation PIX.

What we do

There are always fun things happening in SIP! We have pilots, projects, we organize conferences and meetings and we support other youth associations. SIP is bursting with energy, experiments and works to change society to an even better place to be. We work with a wide range of youth issues such as: labour market, sexuality, gender equality, digital media, democracy, international relations and school. What is important to work with in SIP is always decided by us – the members of the network.

For and by youngsters

The embryo of today's SIP was born during the end of the 90s and early 00s. The organization was started by a group of curious, active youngsters who needed a platform to realize their dreams. The organization has evolved through the years from a small local initiative to a nationwide movement. And the organization is still built for and by creative youngsters.

What does SIP mean? SIP is short for Samhällsförändring i praktiken. It means that we are working to change society in a practical way. We carry out projects and experiments, look for new solutions and question why we do things in a certain way. We are politically and religiously independent.

So, where does the money come from?

The biggest part of our money are state and EU subsidies. We have about 30 different public and a handful of private contributors that support our different organisations and projects. Our own joint non-profit cooperation, PIX, is expanding rapidly.
