Our new Second Life project, the second step
The new Second Life project will go on for a year and is comprised by several different parts. In this project we put more emphasis on the challenge of finding connections between Second Life and the real life outside the digital world…
On this page you can find a description of the different parts of the project. Naturally, all our ideas will evolve as the project progresses and we continue our work, meet new people and start seeing new possibilities.
This is planned to happen in the project:
1. This website that you are now visiting will be developed.
2. We are actively going to be looking for coordinators inside Second Life who, in a similar way to the first step of the project, want to arrange and implement activities.
3. To meet a growing demand of sharing our experiences about Second Life we will gather and spread this information to selected target groups.
4. We are going to broaden our knowledge about other 3D-worlds trough establishing ourselves in these. We do this in order to be able to draw parallels between different 3D-worlds and bring more knowledge and experiences into our Second Life settlement.
5. We will start spreading information trough our own blog, Twitter, Facebook etc. This is done to provide people who want to follow our Second Life development with up-to-date information.
6. We will invite people who have expressed interest in a deeper involvement in our project to find ways for them to participate.
7. We will expand our collaboration with the Ung kommunikation project and the teacher student’s program with the universities in the south east of Sweden, the organization SeniorNet etc.
8. A meeting where all interested people can come up with new ideas about projects, participation and content in Second Life will be held at SRC.
